GC # 597 LEMMA BEYENELEMMA BEYENE, born in 1943 (E.G.), in Addis Ababa. he is the younger of two children. He joined the army because "I wanted at least one paragraph in history." Although he confesses that he is not very interested in sport, he does enjoy playing basketball and tennis. He does a great deal of reading, and his favourite authors are Harold Robins and Afewerk Eyessus. His hobbies are shooting, gardening and "just lying on the grass and watching the stars at night." There is a strong streak of romanticism in him. "If I were born again, I would like to be a bird", he says. He likes listening to music. and while he is fond of "soul" music he prefers Kirar songs. He feels that he is a confirmed bachelor, but admits that he enjoy's the company of girls. He recently visited Egypt and France, and would like to sec the Far East. Col.
