GC # 599 MENGISTU W/MARIAMMENGISTU W/MARIAM, born in 1941 (E.G. .atGondar, he is the eldest child of a family of four. He was educated at Atse Fassil School at Azego and Haile Selassie Secondary School in Gondar. He is glad that he joined the army as it gives him a lot of opportunities to take part in athletics and games. He has an interest in Japanese music, and plans to marry as soon as he graduates.
