Kefyalew Moges is the only son of his parents. He was born at Ambo, where the mineral water comes from, in 1945. He is a man of faith and his ambition is to rise to the exalted rank of General in the Army.

Lt. Kefyalew served as an instructor at the officers training center, Holleta-Genet, from 1975 to 1977. He left the Army August 1977. He graduated from Baruch College, New York with a degree in Computer Management Information Systems. He resides in New York, USA.
