ABEBE AYANAAbebe Ayana - Born in 1941 in Wollega. One of the 14 children of his father. Farming and teaching were his earliest ambitions. The formative influence of his shcooldays were the writing of Voltaire and John Locke. Interested ingeames, he is keen on music (Sam Cooke and Alemayehu Eshete), photography and electronics. Consmopolitan in tastes and philosophical by temperament, he does not wish to marry. He would rather travel round the world, "escorting fair damsels"!
